April 2010 Ramblings...

Ok, this blog has turned into a monthly posting then weekly, but here goes my observations for the month of April 2010:

President Obama stated that the right claims that he and his administration are Marxist but cannot offer any proof…oh really?

  • When pushed for proof, President Obama states no one can support those claims including Glenn Beck and Rush Limbaugh.
  • Compares his health care plan to that proposed by Former Republican governor of Mass. Mitt Romney – so therefore it is not socialist. Funny thing is that is at the state level not the federal level.  You do not like it in MA - then move out of the state.
  • Joe Biden tries to defend Obama regarding the redistribution of wealth regarding the health care bill (calls it fair)
  • Allen Grayson – defends and compares socialism/Marxism with the Nazis.
  • People comparing the word socialism to that of the “n” word.
So my two questions are, What has President Obama done to prove he is not a Marxist? and What has Obama done to prove he is not fundamentally transforming this country?

Phil Hare (D-IL) Illinois Senator believes in people dying and not having health care, then upholding and defending the Constitution. He quotes Declaration of Independence.
  • When someone calls him out on that, he stated he doesn’t care.
Congressman Hank Johnson (D-GA) speaking at a press conference is worried that 8000 marine troops sent to Guam would tip over and capsize the island. It was only until the video of this incident, that he issued a statement – that this was just a humorous statement that no one got. It was just a metaphor to the damages on the eco-system. Right...I will believe that when pigs fly.

Steve Cohen (D-TN) compares Tea Party to KKK. Claims they are following George Wallace – a racist democrat. Claims that Tea Party is not diverse enough by not having enough minorities.

Outstanding statistic for April:
47% of this country will not pay any income tax for 2009 tax year.

Speaking of the New York Times, it reports that the government will compare the effectiveness of health care treatments. Now that the government is in charge of the Health Care System, the NYT is trying to sell us on how we need less health care. I do not know about you, but this sounds like rationing to me.

Bill Clinton recently gave a speech at the Center for American Progress (you know the place where Van Jones is hiding and is funded by left progressive - George Soros). Basically he compared the Tea Party movement to that of the Oklahoma City bombing.  Funny thing was before giving this speech he was in partial support of the Tea Party - for the right of peacefully speaking out and demostrating.

Speaking of Bill Clinton, Will a Clinton Member become a Supreme Court nominee? Funny how Bill was just at the center for American progress which serves a think tank for the current administration.  And now Anita Dunn has opened the for this as well.  Dunn states we need a diversity of experience in the Supreme Court.

Chris Christie receives threat for freezing teacher pay for one year. Not from Teachers themselves but rather the all powerful Teacher Union.  Funny thing was he was not asking for teachers to be fired but just a one year pay freeze to helpe get the state budget in order.  Now there are calls for his resignation.  He was brought in to clean up the mess left for former governor John Corzine and he is making the tough choices to make a difference.

Joe Klein is stating that anyone who speaks out against this administration is becoming seditious (like Glenn Beck and Sarah Palin).  What has happened to free speech and the first admendment in this country?

Federal security workers can go through your computer in addition to luggage called digital seizure. Currently the law is enforced only 100 miles from either Canada or Mexico. Doesn’t this get protected by the 4th amendment? Government is making a case that they no longer need a warrant to track you via cell phone GPS. Also the government states that you should not expect privacy when it comes to using your cell phones or electronic mail.

David Gregory of NBC stated during his Sunday shows “What did freedom give the American people?” “And this free market collapse is more of a case we need less freedom”

President Obama wants to pass a law limiting free speech, that states there is some free speech that is so offensive that it should be silenced. They want congress to determine what that speech is. The first amendment states “Congress shall pass no law…” in regards to free speech.  So I would love to see how the President will achieve this.

The IMF (International Monetary Fund) wants to create a global VAT tax and keep the fund for distrubtion.  They are calling this a global bank tax.  These global organizations for some time wanted a serious revenue stream and now they are trying to get one.

The House of Representatives voted and approved on Puerto Rico Democracy Act HR2499

  • Pushed by New Progressive Party movement in PR for federal vote
  • Governor of Puerto Rico who is listed as a republican, is chairman of New Progressive Party. And what is this current administration full of - Progressives on both sides of the asle.
  • This bill is being presented as a non-binding vote, would allow a two step process to vote on statehood in Puerto Rican senate because it passed in the House.
  • Political flyers from Puerto Rico state PR could implement Tennessee plan:
    • Send 2 senators and 6 representatives to Washington to demand to be represented
    • To Self determine the country’s future
  • Congressman Jason Chafets (R-UT) is a oppenent of this bill recently stated:
    • Will allow people who live in United States to vote on status of PR.
  • Where is the coverage in the news?  I had to hear about this bill from my family members in Puerto Rico who do not want statehood and conservative talk radio.  There was nothing on the main stream media
  • During the 2008 election campaign in Puerto Rico, the new progressive party stated it would get Puerto Rico statehood by enacting the Tennessee Plan.
Obama states that there should be a salary cap – so at what point do people have enough money.  This is not just for CEO's but ordinary United States citizens.

You know I was thinking Police and Law enforcement cannot ask illegal immigrants for ID, but the IRS can ask legal American citizen for proof of health insurance now that the health care bill is passed.  And now congress wants United Citizens to carry a national ID card...again, why are citizens getting the shaft?

Elections in the News...

My apologies for not writing in some time.  It has been a hectic week to say the least.

NY District 23 Race:
  • Democrat Bill Owens wins.
  • Withing 24 hours of taking office, he breaks 4 crutial campaign promises.
  • Republicans spent almost 1 million dollars to destroy Doug Hoffman
  • Democrats spent 2 million dollars to destroy Hoffman
  • Democrats are screaming failure of tea party
  • 8 weeks ago Hoffman was an unknown accountant.
  • Hoffman makes the Republican drop out.
  • Republican and Democrat double team and win by only 3 percentage points – Can you imagine Hillary Clinton supporting John McCain?
  • So really, is this a complete failure?  If you combine the republican vote with the conservative vote, Bill Owns would have lost by 3 percentage points.
NYC Mayoral Race:
  • Incumbent Mayor Michael Bloomberg wins re-election.
  • Bloomberg spent 100 million dollars to win election
    • Only won by 5 percentage points
  • Interesting fact - No one wanted Rudy to stay for a few months after 9/11 to ensure a smooth transition of power - city council cried term limits and city constitution
    • Yet Bloomberg got city council to change the term limits so he is able to run again - interesting...
New Jersey Governor’s Race:
  • Republican Challenger Chris Christie wins.
    • And he is a Morris County guy - my home county in NJ.
  • First republican to win the overall state for the first time in 40 years.  Sure he didnt carry the typical counties of Essex and Bergen, but this was a race that Christie has no business winning.  So what does that say about Incumbent Jon Corzine?
  • It was about the economy - plain and simple.
  • Soon to be former Governor Jon Corzine fails to win re-relection, only the 3rd incumbent to loose election in New Jersey history.  Even McGreevy won re-election.  Looks like Jonny boy will join the ranks of Jim Florio (remember the motto - Florio Free in '93?)
  • He's to hoping Christie can live up to his promises and may I can afford to return to my home state.
